Sounds like Gregg is either a military historian or a military hobbiest, and 
that this is the conventional take on military history.  Thanks for the 
run-down, Gregg.  It's interesting to hear the expert viewpoint (regardless 
of comments on the current situation).  Clearly this is analysis in 
retrospect, though, and of course the commanders in charge would have fought 
their wars differently if they could see ahead to the consequences of their 
actions.

We'll have to see how this one goes.  I'm about ready to get out of the 
political commentary business, as I notice the experts have now picked it 
up.  We are blessed in the US with a public forum for different viewpoints, 
and hopefully will find no return to the repressive goverment where the FBI 
tracked Bob Dylan and John Lennon for their "subversive" views.
