To the Beatles backers:

As I figured, none of the responses by Beatles' fans to my "settling the
argument" post offered any substantive evidence or logic to refute my
assertions. After all the back and forth the past 3 weeks, I finally made a
point-by-point comparison of the two backed up by very clear logic- and
acknowledged that the Beatles had advantages in several respects.
Predictably, no one has directly refuted ANY of my arguments- but rather made
nebulous claims of Beatles superiority based on emotion or resorted to
juvenile comments like "well did the Who's anthology stay at #1 for 8 weeks?
Nanny nanny, boo-boo!" That's right, and my daddy could beat up your
daddy. My comparison gives the Beatles the popularity edge (one of the 3
points they got), but as most mature music fans know, that's not the sole
criteria for comparing music- or else The Backstreet Boys, n'Sync, and
Britney Spears would be considered the best music of today. How bout a
response directly related to the 9 points of comparison?
