Keith Moon Memorial Tree

In honor of Keith Moon's passing this day, 23 years ago, Kenny Sahr and I
are providing a great piece of Who-story for a tree.  This 10 year
anniversary memorial tape features stories about the life of the great Keith
Moon as read by Irish Jack.  It was originally only available to hard core
fans and collectors, but here it is for all to enjoy.  The artwork for this
will be available soon in the cover art section of the WhoBoots website,
http://www.whoboots.com.  Again, the show is cassette sourced but
remastered, and fit on 1 74min CDR.

TO SIGN UP:

1)  You must be registered with WhoBoots.  You can do this by joining the
group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WhoBoots or by sending email to
whoboots-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.  If you don't want to receive the email
list, make sure to specify the "No Mail - Read posts at website" option.
Sorry for this, but I need to authenticate people before they sign up for
trees so we don't get as many flakes, and your email address is not
available to the public.  It's no different than DylanTrees.com.

NOTE:  If you are not already a member of WhoBoots, it may take some time
for your registration to hit the database.  You won't be able to log in to

2)  Go to WhoBoots.com and click the Login button at the top of your screen.

4)  Fill out the form COMPLETELY and submit.

NOTE:  There are 2 trees running right now on the site.  Be sure you've
clicked the right one!

Remastering Notes:

Remastering performed by Justin Trout, WhoBoots,
using Cool Edit 96

Cassette Master transferred to HD via the analog
Line-IN jack of a Yamaha Pro soundcard from a
Pioneer component tape deck.  The following was
then performed on the resulting wav file:

1) DC-Bias adjusted to 0% on Side 1 of the cassette
2) Removed Jack's instructions to flip the tape over
   at the end of Side 1 in the middle of Track 5.
2) Normalized entire selection to 98%
3) Noise Reduction at 90% with Precision Factor 8
   and Smoothing Amount 1 from FFT Noise Sample
   generated from a selection of the wav containing
   only tape hiss.
4) Tracked according to track list on the tape
   insert (with the exception of the Introduction
   and Conclusion)
4) Lowered pitch on Jack's "Thank you" at the end of
   track 4 to eliminate "helium" effect from tape
   aging.
