Spruce Bingsteen; Anna's Chicen Pox

>> Finally, I LOVE THE WHO and also LOVE Springsteen so the recent remarks
>>against him have been a bit irksome
>
>Er, sorry. That would've been me.

And me too; I hated Bruce before it was cool to hate Bruce! No offense, but
Schrade nailed it. Brucie puts on a huge show, but... Loose translation of
a Bruce announcement during a concert: "Ummm... this is a song about life.
A song about love... It's about a car!" Yikes... Good evening ladies and
Bruces... However, I will admit that the MAIN reason I rip on Bruce is
because he was the number one contender for the Who's crown when I was in
high school and not the fact that he's a bad musician. To me, he was the
enemy because far too many Spruce fans in my school said that Pete was a
poor-man's Bruce Stringbean. Dem is fightin' words... Besides, I really
have a tough time listening to a vocalist who sounds like he's straining to
make a bowel movement. Okay, I apologize, no more Bruce ripping (no pun
intended).

Again, a hearty welcome from your collegues at the Mental Defective League
aka, Who Mailing List. How very strange that you mention your baptism into
the Who family co-inciding with your chicken pox... Very strange indeed. I
say that because my baptism is very similar. I was down and out with the
poultry pox at age 13, within days of my birthday. I had become interested
in The Who shortly before then, but during my pox downtime, I had gotten
"Who's Next", the Kids Soundtrack, and the QUAD soundtrack for my birthday -
by the time the pox fell off, I was an official Who freak and I've never
looked back. As the philosopher Curly Howard once said - "That's a
cooincidence!"

>Joe in Philly

Joe's right Anna, none of us are like that. What we really care about are
discussions relating to the Who and such. We are interested in your
musical/personal insight and absolutely NOT interested in such silly things
as bra size... By the way, I'm guessing you're a C Cup... I have a way of
knowing these things... Anyway, welcome to the camp...
