Fwd: Pete on Mick Jagger - Being Mick - programme

Here's the post from Majortom. He runs a Who BBS, BTW--he's got his
web address at the bottom of the message. Some fans might remember
him from the PT BBS.

Pete has just appeared over here (UK) on the Mick Jagger - Being Mick
programme. Its basically a sort of light weight documentary (no real
revelations) following Mick Jagger around during the recording of his
new solo album , also featuring pieces about the Enigma film he
produced, bits of his family life and various cameo appearances from
people such as Sting, Elton John, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards,
Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, Bono and of course Pete

Petes section is very much a quick cameo

Mick walks into a studio in the UK

various hellos and general greetings

"Are my amps all turned on? " asks Mick
"well, actually not, no" says record producer
"I'm the very loud guitarist that you booked" says Mick
"No we've got one already......" (says record producer)

cue Pete .......

Pete is shown in recording booth playing the track "Gun" the caption
says - Pete Townshend is playing on Gun

bit of dialogue from producer about how Pete is playing track .....
more of Pete playing (some annoying shaky camera work) ......."you've
got the hang of it" joke Mick and producer to Pete who is still in
recording booth .....more of Pete playing intercut with pictures of
Jagger, Jerry and baby Jag(ger) playing in the control room. ...
another you've done this sort of thing before quip follows with Pete
saying he likes the staccatto (have I spelt this right?) style of
playing.....then theres a quick discussion about using public
transport and Pete joking about the short and inane conversations
people have with him when they see him on the train (MJ doesn't seem
familiar with catching buses/ getting on trains).... session ends,
Pete gives Jerry and son a lift home .....

so thats it - its a quick cameo but Pete is cool and his playing is
magnificent

Paul
