Recorded prior to a solo appearance in 1995, this one-take home
demo/rehearsal features nothing more than voice, piano, and a cheesy rhythm
machine. The result takes one of The Who's most enduring FM rock anthems and
transforms it into the kind of slow, ruminative ballad you might hear in an
