Keets!  You're not saying you don't own a copy of the Max R&B book, are 
you?  Tsk tsk.

It's a jacket Pete was wearing around 1980.  A shortish, black, military-type 
jacket with a high, tight collar.  Super-cool jacket.  Buttons, too!

In the same picture, Daltery has this proud, don't-fuck-with-THE-WHO posture
& look on his face.  Fabulous!

Incidently, if you've got the reissue of the Max R&B book, there's a different pic-
ture (this time from '89) on the back cover.
