Quad musical production

Congrats to Pete, BTW, for getting this underway. Sounds like they're off
to a great start. Wonder if they're going to produce it for the London
stage and then go to Broadway in NYC?

>Trevor Nunn, the director of the National Theatre here in London has at
>last given his blessing to the development of a script and new score for a
>theatre musical version of Quadrophenia. The book is being written by the
>award winning playwright Joe Penhall, with myself interfering a fair bit.
>Joe's extraordinary play for the National - THE BLUE ORANGE - is what has
>gathered all the awards this year. He has a real gift for working with
>music I think, and we are preparing for our first music workshop in late
>April.

>I am very, very excited and pleased about this. A proper press release will
>probably appear sometime in the near future.
