That must be why I thought the Mona Lisa was highly overrated when I
saw it hanging in the Louvre.  It didn't move me a nanometer, but
because its been considered so "great" forever and a day, its still
"great art" even though it didn't move me at all.  I wonder how many
other modern visitors are actually moved by that picture instead of
just taking some critic's word for it that its "great art".
