Einstein's relativity theories didn't "replace" Newton's theories; they sort of
fine tuned them. Newton's equations still work perfectly well today dealing
with motion on a large scale. NASA uses these basic Newtonian equations
everytime they plan a space flight.

Relativity helps explain some of the "small-scale" fluctuations that occur with-
in Newton's theories. However, Einstein's relativity theory *is* the grander
of the two. It's more exact & has been proven through experiment many,
many times. It "encompasses" Newton's theories.
