In a recent diary entry called "Money," Pete says, "When popular 
artists are allowed to control the means (and rewards) of their own 
production and distribution you have an almost perfect Marxist 
situation."

I know we don't discuss politics here any more, but that sounds more 
like free enterprise and capitalism to me than Marxism. Can anyone 
explain why Pete would call that Marxist?

I do not mean to debate ideologies or even definitions; I'm just 
curious. If you have an answer that seems too political, please reply 
off-list.
