Greg gets an F; John on tour; Keith on film

>No fallacy

Greg:

Except that A) there is no evidence it worked and plenty it did not, B) even
his own Treasury Secretary, David Stockman, told him it wouldn't work and
what it would do instead...which it did...and he was fired for his honesty.

>that still reigns today (despite the e.com bad news of the last few months)

YOU are the one who needs to do some research.

>heard was "more government programs." The man LOVES big government

Isn't it interesting that he made governemt smaller when every GOP Prez made
it larger. Now Bush wants to add to it in regard to education.

>Clinton will try, and does try, to make his claim for turning things
around -

He did. There is a concept you should investigate called "consumer
confidence." Consumers drive the economy...looks like YOU get the F this
time, in economics.

>ducks! But do not claim to be the top law enforcement officer of the
nation
>and then break the law!

Then you agree that Reagan and Bush should have been prosecuted for the
Iran-Contra affair?

>Ahh, Ted Kennedy - one of the poster children for term limits indeed

No, that would be that ancient bag Strom Thurmond. Kennedy can make complete
sentences, at least.

>So - you must enjoy paying over 50 per cent of your income on all levels of

If this is true, and it would depend on where you are so it's inherently
false, then why attack Federal tax and not State and Local? Why? It's
foolish, because history shows us that when Federal taxes are cut and State
funding is cut as a result, State taxes go up the net result being MORE tax
per person! Not something I can support.

>taxes. Even Clinton was on record a couple years ago

According to you, Clinton's "on record" saying all sorts of things he
wouldn't have said. Prove it.

>I like nice clean air and water as much as anyone

There is no excuse to poison our planet. Period.

>Libertarian Party is gaining membership in leaps and bounds from people fed

SURE they are. That's why they got less than 1% of the vote, huh? Wake me up
when you have a point.

>Party - and all joined and voted that way in the last election.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

>Never said Tom was a saint

But it's OK with you, but it's not when it's Clinton huh? How very selective
of you.

>Getting real tired of the liberals lambasting our Founding Fathers about
some
>of them being slave owners.

Tough shit. Wrong is wrong. Not everyone had slaves back then, you know.

>Constitutional government because he was a product of his times?

Again, the constitution was designed specifically for white male landowners.
End of story.

>This, then, begs the question - would you like to be judged by the
standards
>of 200 years from now for your actions that you do today under today's
>standards?
>
>I wouldn't.

Then why do you insist we adhere exactly to a document written by those
standards? That doesn't make sense, Greg!

>Thank you, John Ashcroft.

Jeff:

Very well put.

>[Son of Dracula directed by Freddie Francis (1974)

Scott P:

Are you talking about the Harry Nilsson movie? I have seen it, but only
remember Keith's face on a background piece.

>why not? the ox said he cannot go for more than six months w/o touring...so
>he is waiting for who to finish album then tour in 2002

The problem will be if he can get booked in venues. Sadly, it seems he tends
not to fill them except in the larger cities.
On the up side, if he loses money then he'll have to go to Pete and ask for
another tour. Hmmm...

>They show a lengthy clip from that movie in The Real Keith Moon. Man, Mae
>West looks frightening.

Scott S:

It was probably the entire thing. He was only in it for about five minutes,
commenting on the costumes as West changed after coming into the room in
typical Moon flagrant fashion.

>actor she worked with. He goes on to say that Moonie was no exception. I
>guess he declined the invite, however. She was like 82 years old, I think.

All she does in the movie is parody herself, really. The plot is horrible
(West wrote it), and it's hard to imagine anything worse than Timothy Dalton
singing Love Will Keep Us Together (yes, the Captain & Tennile song).

>Can't blame a gal for trying. ;)

Keets:

In this case, yes you can.

Jeff:

>What about for-profit-manufacturers and sellers (like independent music
>stores) of booted material?

I think one must consider that the legal owners of the material in question
can easily release it legitimately and defang these people (which would
include me, BTW). It's in their court. People want the music, and they will
have it.
