Anybody want to wildly speculate on why Pete might have received the BMI 
President's Award?  Pete sounded sort of speechless himself, an unusual 
state.  ;)

Do you suppose the lovely (and financially successful) summer tour has 
suddenly attracted everyone's notice to his genius, or do you suppose they 
thought he might be about to jump ship?  I'd guess they get a lot of revenue 
off Pete songs.  Of course, they might just be sincere in feeling he 
deserves it.
