Where does he get his ideas, though, and especially, where did he get them 
in 1965?  There's been some mention that he used other songs as models back 
in those days, and other members of the band have said the music was more of 
a collaborative effort.

What gives me the idea that John had a hand in this is that it's based on a 
children's story.  Yeah, I know IRON MAN was, too, but the subject matter of 
"A Quick One" just sounds like John to me.  The twist to make it into a 
sexual adventure is pure Pete, of course.
