Re: Why is this not a surprise?



Being more of an Alternative fan I've herd of Moby for awhile, havn't really 
followed his work much but I know he's pretty good.  I'll have to sample 
some more of his work.  I also caught him on the Craig Kilborn show the 
night before the grammys, he's a pretty funny guy.

As for defying the industry it has been done before.  Nto sure what awards 
show it was but the award was given out and before the person could reach 
the stage the rapper "Dirty 'Ol Bastard" along with his "posse" or whatever 
rushed the stage citing that Erika Badeu I believe should ahd won the award 
and so forth.

Rage Against the Machine was awarded for stadning up against the system 
though, wasn't the mucis industry they deal with more politics and stuff.  I 
think they got best hard rock video or something.  It was just mentioned in 
one of those blurbs along with Best New Age Portugese Babershop Quartet.  
Which I think got more recognition than The Who did :)

So what is really gained by The Who reciveing this award?  Anything?
