I think those bigs shows are a tough gig, as about everybody who hosts one 
comes off desperate.  Jon Stewart is terrific, and you can see him make up 
stuff on the spot, but Whoopie Goldberg was about as bad last time I saw her 
do one (Oscars, Grammys?  Whatever.).
