Re: kid stuff

>All kidding aside. This type of discussion is good because we really
don't know what Pete has up his sleeve. We do know he has some ideas and
would likely want to part from the traditional Who themes vessels. It is
very healthy for the hardcore Who fan to consider the possibilities of
seeing The Who outside of their tradional box.

I certainly would. There are people who shape reality, you know? Look how
much of The Who's music has entered popular culture. At the least, you see
references to Magic Bus and My Generation and Won't Get Fooled Again
everywhere, and Pete's ideas have flowed along with that. He's become
something of a Twentieth Century philosopher as well as a songwriter and
composer.

It's not just Pete that does it, though. He's had the ideas, but he can't
always sell them. It's taken the rest of The Who vehicle to get them out
into the public consciousness. It's been a hard trip, considering how
contentious the band has been, but it's worked. If they've established a
real, cooperative relationship now, they might accomplish even more. I'd
like to see the three of them get behind John's ideas and Roger's ideas as
well as Pete's. They can accomplish much more together than working one at
a time.

Think Boris the Spider would make it on Broadway? Let's see a show of hands
here. How many Whofans would go see it? :)
