I may draw a bit of speculation for this but , Freddie mercury was way too
young to die
and so was Tommy Bolin guitarist  from the 4th  and arguably less popular
version of Deep Purple in the late seventies. HE never really had a chance
to express his musical talents in the right way.  And Freddie Mercury who's
best days may have been behind him still had several cards left to play
before he was dealt such a fatal blow.    A couple of very talented
musicians who sadly died way too young.  ANd thank you for including Chicago
in that list.  Terry Kath was a great guitarist, who even had the admiration
of Jimi Hendrix,  and  yet was much to young to die.
