Pete has given his permission for a new production of Tommy to be staged
inside one of the UK's prisons. HMP Maidstone will be performing their
version of the show on September 13 and 14. The story is carried in today's
edition of the London Evening Standard.

Pete was happy to give the go ahead to the production and the writer-in
residence at Maidstone has said that he 'was very enthusiastic about the
idea. He saw similarities between the isolation felt by the main character,
Tommy, who is deaf, dumb and blind, and the isolation experienced by
prisoners'. The production will be performed for the 350 inmates of the
prison.

Matt has also included a scan of the newspaper article.

"Do you think it's alright, to leave the boy with Prisoner #1749220?"
