More conjecture: Death of the new album

Let's assume for the sake of argument that The Who will not now (or ever) 
collaborate on a set of new songs.  What is The Who brand name going to be 
used for in the coming months and years?

My *THEORY* is that it is a cash cow that will enable the individuals to 
live better lives and promote their individual projects.  They will tour 
sporadically (as The Who) and change the set lists from tour to tour, adding 
and subtracting various obscure songs to the core 'hits'.  They will 
continue to repackage the old recordings for the  marketplace.

Their individual projects will be the objects of their passion:  John 
continues to play shows with musicians of his choice, Roger delves deeper 
into Hollywood, Pete writes solo material and reduxes of old stuff.
