RE: This *IS* a social crisis...

Hi all,
first off.....The Who and Stones as a double bill??????? Never. They'd
both make so much more money simply touring at the same time. It would
generate competition and also mutual interest.
The Who opening for the Stones? Who suggested that???? Flog 'em I say!
Flog 'em!!!!

Spot on Jeff. This guy suffers from not being able to look outside of the
box he's been living in his entire life. The same box that society (our
society; Western Society) has been crammed into for ages. You get old, you
become worthless.
Where is *that* written into stone?? Why can't our society be more like
some African societies who hold their elders in the highest esteem???
Painters become better with time. Laborers such as masons get better with
time. Any person who performs a craft gets better with time! Why the hell
should we ignore the musical virtuosos simply because of their age?????
Because they're not as pretty as the younger *less talented and less
skilled* ?????? If that's the case, I say to John Strausbaugh to go out and
get a copy of Penthouse and take your masturbation behind closed doors. He
just doesn't make sense. I for one concentrate more on the seasoned
players. What a restricted, sheltered, and ignorant life this fool
Strausbaugh lives.

If this guy is any kind of music fan, he was probably standing right next to
you at one of last years shows.
I'm with you. I don't believe he really believes what he's saying. If he
does, then he fits in perfectly with the current MTV "hip hop camera
humping" crowd.
It's funny. It sounds like his motivation is to appeal to what his
perception of the greatest number of music buyers is, the MTV crowd. But
we've recently seen that it's really the older folk who are doing the
buying.

BTW, I love the movie Tommy.
I think it's great.
And, I'd bet money Pete really liked the Tommy Broadway production too.

Period?
