Entwistle on new Gov't Mule album

Finally a topic i can say more than, "yeah me too."  :-)

Gov't Mule came out of the Allman Brothers Band.  Current Mule members are
Warren Haynes, formerly and again with Allman Brothers Band, Phil Lesh &
Friends and drummer Matt Abts of Blue Floyd.  Recently deceased Bass player,
Allen Woody never had the Thunder that Entwistle possess, but playing a type
of "lead" bass at times, rumbled too.  As Bruce pointed out, Gov't Mule's new
album continues their legacy of being a band open to guests.  Maybe to an
extreme.  Maybe not, they recently did two shows where John Scofield joined
the band.  He learned some Mule tunes and the Mule learned some Scofield
tunes.  Never heard of Scofield, check out the web, you'll learn.

Both with long lineage of Blues and/or jam.  Given the late 60's and early
70's Brit penchant of emulating American Bluesmen, there is a thread from The
Who/Entwistle and Gov't Mule.  Upon seeing the Quadrophenia tour, Gov't Mule
added a "Young Man Blues" tribute to some of their sets.

So in the Fall, if you're looking for some unique music with JE on a tune,
check out the disc.  Back to lurk mode.
