Moon movie models

My preferred models (this week) are the work of Paul Thomas Anderson.  Who
wrote, produced and directed two of the best character studies of the last
few years:  "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia".  He was also behind "Hard
Eight", but I haven't seen that one.

The same sensibilities would work great with the Moon story.  He was able to
mix harsh realism, humor, absurdity and tragedy.
