Regarding the recent short discussion about this subject: I would hesitate
to
put all the blame on Bill Curbishley for lack of the above. Around the time
of the farewell tour in 82' it was Bill that saw the need for pay per view
shows and the eventual release of the video fom that tour and others is
largely
due to his envolvement. Pete chose to break up the Who perhaps at their most
marketable time in their career. Around that time The Who could have
released
anything and it would have sold instantly,but after all the long layoffs,the
odd tour here and there,Trinifold is probably correct as a business
assessment
that a video or DVD released now will not be commercially succsessful. Sad
but
true,Rock is big business.Perhaps some form of a videomay eventually emerge
in
a limited edition release of the current tour.
