The Who, Vedder, Noel Gallagher For Cancer Benefit
The Who will headline a benefit for the U.K.'s Teenage Cancer Trust Nov. 27 at London's
Royal Albert Hall. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and Oasis' Noel Gallagher will also be
on the bill for the event, which will be hosted by well-known U.K. comedian and DJ Phil
Jupitus. Additional special guests are expected for the show, which will come shortly
after the close of the Who's U.K. tour Nov. 16 at London's Wembley Arena.

Tickets for the event, dubbed "Teenage Wards Not Teenage Wasteland," went onsale today
(Oct. 13) through the Albert Hall box office. The Who has been a frequent contributor to
the charity, which aids teenagers suffering from various forms of cancer. Proceeds from
this particular event have been earmarked for the building of cancer wards in Liverpool
and Southampton, U.K. This summer, the Who raised some £250,000 ($368,188.51 U.S.) for
Teenage Cancer Trust on the band's North American tour.

The entire Albert Hall show, plus a never-before-seen Who documentary, will air Dec. 2-3
on pay-per-view via U.K. digital TV broadcaster OnDigital. Proceeds from this broadcast
will also benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Vedder is no stranger to performing in support of and with members of the Who; backed by
the Washington-based duo C Average, he opened the Who's Chicago charity concerts last
November. Last July, he shared the stage with the Who's Pete Townshend for two solo
concerts in New York and the Windy City.
