Sigs is sigs

> You'd like that, wouldn't you?

Jim:

I think pretty much everyone would, chum. I've seen exactly one post from
you about The Who, and that was very recently, and all the others were
whine whine whine about my sig. Get a grip, willya?

> That's why it's not gonna happen.

It's on your head, then. Take notice: Future complaints need not include my
name, folks. I've tried.

> Free speech for you, but not for me?

You're free to sig too. Who said you weren't? Most people's sigs have
nothing whatsoever to do with The Who, and that's not a problem. YOU are
MAKING mine a problem for everyone. I think it shows a like-mindedness with
your boy Bush, but that's beside the point...

> [my] candidate"? (ML, V7 #270) No. Besides that, it's not true.

And they are not in any way represented to be his words, as can be clearly
seen by anyone with half a brain. If you thought this needed to be pointed
out (as I guess you did), you have way too low an opinion of Who fans. The
quote itself was copied and pasted from the transcript of the debate and is
clearly the only thing meant to be his words. Beyond that all I've done was
identify who actually said the words, and a bit more to show the irony
(that's the humor part, Jim).
And of course it's true. It's old news.

> Why don't you guys just leave it in the sig files?

Keets:

I agree completely.

> I believe the above quote from George Bush is directed at Mr. Gore's
actions

persona)

Bruce:

That may be his intention, but only because it leaves him clean. I on the
other hand feel he should be held to the standard he sets by his words, not
what you assume is his meaning. If his meaning was different than his
words, he should have been intelligent enough to say it correctly...as you
suggest he did not. And if what you believe is true, he's unfit for the
office he seeks.

> Bush is merely suggesting that Al's propensity to flat out lie about his

Duh-Bya is currently under investigation for lying under oath while in
office. He'd better be careful what he wishes for...

> you *have to* respond is rather silly, both when you and Jim do it.

Kevin:

You know what I meant.

"I think that people need to be held responsible for the actions they take
in life."
