MSG Oct 4th

Tonight's concert saw The Who in a similar mood and passion as the previous
night, and giving a fantastic performance which had the edge
over tuesday night. A lot more stage banter and talk from Pete, but the
crowd were on their feet from the first song,ICE to the very end.
The Garden resonated in chants of 'WHO', 'WHO', 'WHO', echoing around
the vast arena as the fans would say thanks in this way after almost
each number!
As my friend Magik so correctly pointed out early on in the tour, this
tour is really 'The Secret Lifehouse Tour' as the bulk of the show
seems to be centered around Who's Next and the songs that would have
made up the Lifehouse album of the day had there been one,Pete almost
without actually saying so acknowledges this! Much explanation from Pete
tonight about all of this.
They brought back 'I don't Know Myself' and 'Naked eye' to evryone's
complete and utter satisfaction for the latter, (Naked Eye) and dropped
'Bargain'. (which really was great the night before!)
Great 'Drowned' acoustic from Pete and the highlight of the night for
me was John's incredible solo during '5.15' when right in the middle of
it John, started playing the riffs to 'The OX' !, yes,I kid you not and
to 'Shakin All Over' which was pointed out to me by Darren Tucci,
this my friends was absolutely amazing and blew me away!
Unfortunately,I had to leave NYC to go back to work today, but I met up
with a lot of friends before and after the show and most seemed to agree
that Wednesday's show was Kickass! I was very lucky and in Who Heaven
when I met John,Zak and Rabbit with some of the crew after the shows,
(both nights)which made it so much even better! Two glorious Who days!
All of you going Friday and Saturday.....Enjoy !!
Regards,
Derick.
