primal screams

There have been several commnets on the lists now about how Roger is
doing better at getting his screams on-key.  Just what is that about? 
Screams aren't supposed to be on key.  

A case in point is at the end of "The Real Me" on BTTB.  Apparently
he's tried to end this up on a recognizable note, and it's completely
taken the soul out of it.  Ditto "Won't Get Fooled Again."  Durn. 
Screams are supposed to be expressive, not on-key.
