Kids Are Alright DVD review.....

well,I finally got my hands on it last thurs night...
as far as i know its a UK/Ireland release only at the moment but IS region 0
so can be played on all players..
although check that your tv/dvd player can handle PAL as well as NTSC...

anyway, packaging is nice and colourful...same cover as before.
now for the good and bad points:

Good points-
includes promo for kids are alright
sound is dolby digital 5.1
picture quality is the best there has been for TKAA

Bad points:
95minutes..
sound is not as good as you would expect...still as good, better in places ,
than VHS...but generally just sounds like the same sound blasting from all 6
speakers rather than quality bass, stereo etc.
quite dissappointing sound..
chapter separation is a mess...only about 8...
so to play baba o riley, you have to start at the beginning and scan
forward...why not one song per chapter?? small point but annoying
nonetheless....
no extra interviews,rarities or anything...

so overall its worth getting if like me you love this movie anyway, but in
reality it seems like the label (BMG - specialise in budget titles) just
transferred from VHS to DVD without putting any effort into improving it..
looks like there was zero input from the who camp on this one...
