I do care how much I pay
>>It was 40 pounds (which roughly comes to $60) plus shipping, which
came to
$84 for me. I recall it was originally said to cost $60, which is fairly
accurate...depending on where the dollar and pound happen to stand that
day.
>eelpie.com, I see the price listed as 40 pounds--and *no* shipping
cost,
If this is true, I'd feel rather ripped off having spend $24 for
shipping!<
Mark, and all others who answered this question--Thanks for setting me
straight. What must've happened is that I totaled up the price *with*
shipping and it came out to around 60 quid, which is where I got that
figure. Now can I bitch a little? What is WITH this huge shipping
cost? If it were being sold for the American equivalent of 40 pounds
sterling at my local Best Buy or whatever, I could probably scrape up
enough to afford the box. But almost $90 total?! What do they ship it
in, a gold UPS package? Or does Pete himself deliver it to your door?
(Hey, I'd buy it then!) ;-)
Seriously...I wish eelpie could reconsider either lowering the shipping
cost (I'd be happy to risk damages; I've received CD's in the mail with
much lower costs several times and have never had a problem yet) or
making the box available, perhaps in a limited edition, through Amazon
or Best Buy or something. S'what TAFKAP (Mr. Funny Symbol, used to be
Prince) did with his box. Got it for $40 + 5% tax for 4 discs...not
bad, but the real "Bargain" was the Beach Boys' GOOD VIBRATIONS...five
discs for $40 at my local warehouse club. What a buy *that* was!
Thanks again, all. Sorry for the confusion.
