My 3 Townshends; Tangled up in Wood; Rabbit hunting; A moral Lapster

Glenn:

I don't know that it was ever put on CD. Does anyone know? BTW, the album is
called Sweet Sound (1983) and was produced by brother Pete. He lends some
vocals as well (at least). I've been told there is a video for I'm The
Answer, but I've never seen it.
This LP was followed by another, almost as good, called Simon Townshend's
Moving Target (1985). Pete makes no appearance on it. As far as I know,
third brother Paul was not involved with Simon's solo stuff at that time.
He's not credited, anyway.

Dave:

Thanks, although I can't say this news makes me particularly happy. But we
see why this stuff should be released, so it doesn't get lost by
fumble-brained people or is at the least improperly cared for.

> Well, perhaps we'll see it all one day...

Stoo:

I'd like to think you're right, but it seems unlikely.

>Speaking of "All Right Now" didn't Rabbit play keyboards with Free? Maybe
>that's why the Who played that song.

Gregory:

He didn't play with Free (unless it was uncredited live work), but did make
an album with two Free members and bass-player Tetsu Yamauchi (Kossoff,
Kirke, Tetsu And Rabbit, 1971), who himself later showed up in Faces for a
bit at the end of their run. Just FYI for non-Free fans: Paul Kossoff played
guitar and Simon Kirke was the drummer.

About Napster's stay of execution...I'm saddened that the rights of
recording artists are being so blantantly trampled. I saw an article today
which estimates 13 million music downloaders, 2 million of which paid for
the music. This information pretty much shuts down any pro-Napster (etc)
argument, I think.

"What do I think of Napster? I guess you can call me one...I enjoy my
afternoon naps."
