Re: George Davis

A massive graffiti campaign in late 1970's London and a record by cartoon-punk
band SHAM 69, 'George Davis Is Innocent' was about a man (called George
Davis, obviously) convicted of armed robbery, though many people felt that he
was "fitted up like a kipper" (or some other term from 'The Sweeney' circa
1975).

Legend has it that after being released, though, he was banged up for another
robbery a few years later.
