Re: The Who Mailing List Digest V7 #180

I was reading Brian in Atlanta post & I have to vent my frustration at the
last times I went to an Arena to see a big show & someone told me to sit
down! Im not at a play.
I wonder to myself, maybe I should have just bought lawn seats to the
Shoreline Show. If I get a crowd around me, telling me to sit down I'll go to
the lawn.

I am very sorry about what happened at the Pearl Jam concert. I have been
caught up in the front of show & felt like I was in a meat grinder - in fact
in 82 at a Who show in Oakland with the Clash, it was very frightening. Roger
threatened to stop playing if people didn't step back & quit crushing each
other. It seemed to help. Of course The Clash just laughed at us. The next
Time I saw The Who was seated in the front & I hated it. Loved seeing Pete at
Fillmore where I could stand & have freedom to move.
I like my freedom at shows & long for that adrenaline at a Who Show. My
husband still goes into Moss pits :-) I go with sometimes. I'm torn between
safety & complete craziness.
I will remember what Brian said if someone tells me to sit down : Remember
Rock n' Roll?
Screw it, I know on Aug 21 ~ I'll make my way to the front, like I have in
the past....haha
Have a great week! ~ Janice
