BBC bonus disc: Now it can be told...

I was supposed to do the liner notes for the bonus disc.

I was contacted by e-mail last August 20th by one Nick Coquet, the
"Strategic Projects Manager" of POINT Entertainment. He had adapted my
posted liner notes and asked permission to use them on the bonus disc. He
admitted they were then in the planning stages and it "might not happen."
In exchange for using the notes, I was to be credited and my website
mentioned.

His list at that time was as follows: "My Generation Jingle" (0:31), "Pete
Townshend Interview" (2:08), "Pinball Wizard" (2:21), "See Me Feel Me"
(2:49), "I Don't Even Know Myself" (4:53), "Long Live Rock" (4:14), "Heaven
and Hell" (3:27), "I Can't Reach You" (2:56), "Our Love Was" (2:43), "The
Seeker (2) (3:11), "Top Gear Jingle" (0:46), "Summertime Blues" (5:22),
"Boris The Spider Jingle" (0:10). As you can now know, the first and last
tracks moved to the master disc and "I Can't Reach You", "Our Love Was" and
the "Top Gear Jingle" were cut.

So I sent back my permission. A couple of weeks later I e-mailed a thought
I had but the e-mail bounced back as an unrecognized address. As February
15th approached and I was never contacted again I thought they had decided
to go with someone else (the disc comes with no real liner notes). Oh,
well. Maybe next time. I'm cheap guys and just a click away!
