Who's got the button, Who's got boots?

>(O'Neal, Kevin): I'm thinking Pete is still in the Hotel room (now alone)
>and is pressing the TV remote buttons. Much naughty stuff to find there!

Kevin:

Same thing. The good life.

>"The band is just fantastic, that's really what I think,
>Oh by the way, which one's 'Pink'?" :-)

Alan:

Exactly.

>This seems like a stretch as a song interpretation, though.

Perhaps. I was thinking about the lifestyle they were living at the time,
and Pete was writing songs in that vein (Glow Girl & Sally Simpson for two).
This also fits the "neigbor's wall" thing, unless Pete & Karen were living
in an apartment.

>seems pretty explicit to me (also, Pete & Roger don't trade off on these
>lines or the ones immediately following; Pete sings them all)

I meant verses. Hey, what do you want...I'm on serious pain medicine. And
it's a good thing, too!

>more sense to take the simple interpretation that two people are signing
>their actual names, which are the same, than to attempt to layer on
>something about two band members each signing into a hotel as "The Who"

Another thought is I doubt Karen was on tour with the band, although the
band was on tour a lot during this period. I do know, however, that whenever
he came to the Baba Center he brought her (I've seen pictures, and so will
all who come to Whofest this year) and the kids...so it's possible. I
suppose he took a vacation or two.

>Does anybody know where I could find some good boots , either audio or
video

NY Kevin:

I can't give you specifics, but when I was in NYC for the Quad shows I found
Who CD bootlegs all over the place...three in a store across from Macy's. I
don't know how close you are to NYC, or if they're still so easily gotten,
but I would think so as there's no major crackdown at the moment. It might
be worth a trip, and NYC is great anyway.
An alternative would be the House Of Guitars which is in either Syracuse or
Buffalo, I think. Perhaps someone in NYC or the other cities can give you
more precise directions. I wish you luck, in any case.

                     Cheers ML
