Kevin, I'd say "Tattoo", from the same venue, Fillmore East '68, although
Quad is my all-time fave. But my choice is "So Sad about Us", the Marquee
'66 version. It's got passion, commitment, Moonie at the top of everything
and that strange mix only The Who can do of violence and beautiful melody
lines.

Anyway, that's for today – next week I might be in love with a different one
from Townshend's catalogue :0).

Oswaldo Akamine.

I want to start a thread.
We (maybe it's just me ;) seem to do this sort of thing every year around
the Wholidays.
Good way to share, and also "get to know" each other a bit better.

Ok, here goes.

I'd like to hear what your all time favorite Who track is.
What track really gets you going? What track really fires you up? What
track really means the most to you?
What track really defines your commitment to The Who.
Oh yeah, and let us know why.

Yes, only one choice. It's going to be hard. So many, yet only the top can
be chosen.
I'm already struggling.
It can be an official release, or a boot, or a song heard at a show. No
limits on anything (era, etc.).

I'll start:

For me, it would have to be live "Relax" from the Filmore East boot.
Why, hmmmmmmmmmmmm?
It's got that fire, I like. It flows. It is a creation taking place right
before our ears.
This is a track that gets me throwing stuff.
It also leaves me hanging. This mystery of "where did they go" seems to add
to the mystique.
It's one fine damn example of Pete and John working together like only they
can do.

So, there you have it.
Play along if you like!

Kevin in VT.
