Who, Page/Crowes Add 3rd N.Y. Show; More To Come?
The Who and Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes have announced a third
co-headlining show at New York's Madison Square Garden, and have two more
possible dates together lined up as well. An Oct. 6 show will go on sale
Monday (Aug. 14) via Ticketmaster and at the MSG box office beginning at 9
a.m. ET.

MSG also has two additional dates on hold for the historical rock pairing,
Oct. 7 and Oct. 9. While these are considered "optional" shows, the
probability of the shows being officially added is high, according to a
source.

A spokesperson for the Black Crowes was only aware of the announced shows. A
spokesperson for the Who had no comment when asked about the two additional
dates.

The first two shows -- Oct. 3-4 -- sold out within hours of going on sale on
Monday. Because of a special arrangement with promoter SFX, tickets to those
shows were available only American Express cardholders. Tickets to the added
show -- and according to the source, the yet to be added shows -- will be
available to everyone, and range from $54-$253.

Notably, approximately 65% of the nearly 22,000 tickets on sale to the
public for the first two shows were sold via Ticketmaster Online. This is a
significant change in the way concertgoers purchase tickets, as phone sales
have long accounted for the majority of event sales.
