Re: The Kids Are Offspeed; Money in various configurations; MP please

Mark, you should address any comments on that forwarded message
dirctly to the author or they won't see it... I just forwarded it here.

An interesting point. If its only available on DVD then when my copy
finally wears out (not likely anytime soon; I listen to the soundtrack
more often than I watch the actual movie), then I guess I'll have to
buy on DVD. However, I bet you'll still be able to find the VHS
version for quite some time even though it'll be on DVD.

I think its too early to tell if artists will make more or less money
with the 'net than with a record company. I think some will make more
and some will make less, i.e. it will depend more on the artist than
on the slick hype boys that work for the labels.

It definately depends on how the MP3 was produced (no surprise there);
I don't hear any appreciable difference with the PT live MP3s from
musicmaker than I hear on the CD.

But I'm not an anal-retentive audiophile obsessed listener either.
