Re: Get togethers (Was: Press Conference)
Well, being a SoCal native, I've seen several concerts at Irvine Meadows
Amphitheatre. Check out this link for directions & seating:
http://www.la.digitalcity.com/avalon/irvine/
I've seen Rush, Def Leppard, and Iron Maiden there, among others, and it's a
nice outdoor venue. Capacity is 15,000 or so. I think every seat is a good
seat. It's about a 45-60 minute drive from LA in light/moderate traffic.
There's also an airport in Irvine, so people flying in should be able to
have no problems finding lodging.
My friend Denis runs a very good SoCal concert website, so anyone coming to
visit could also catch a good rock/hardrock/metal band in a local club.
(http://www.moshking.com) Oh, and don't forget about the Rainbow Bar &
Grill on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. JEB often goes there when he's in L.A.
On Saturday night I saw Rick Rubin, Lemmy (from Motorhead), and Charlie
Sheen in there. Billy Sheehan was in there a few weeks ago also. Food is a
bit pricey, but it's good, and so are the drinks. Nice rock & roll
atmosphere too. I say we should meet there. Any other suggestions??
I am SO stoked about this!! I've NEVER seen our boys in concert! Someone
pinch me 'cos I think I'm dreaming this whole thing!!!
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
