At this point it's still in the classification of an unsubstantiated rumor, 
but from a usually reliable source: Dave at petetownshend.net.  From all 
indications he's recently been in contact with Pete Townshend.  But who 
knows?  Maybe PT is putting us on.

If it's true, it certainly is a statement about The Who's economic worth.
