First of all, because your just a young nipper, I'll cut you some slack. 
I too never liked the studio recording of Drowned.  It wasn't until the Hyde
Park concert of Quad, and Pete's solo on accustic that I came to
appreciated the song.  I know that if you get you hands on "The Secret
Policemans' Ball", you will come to love Drowned.
