[O'Neal, Kevin W.] I for one am very interested in hearing what
today's new Who fans have to say. It's important to understand what the
draw for you guys is. For me it was knowing there was a rock band out there
that spoke it's mind, and mixed that with complex musical arrangements. Not
to mention that the individual players were/are the best in their field!
Youth anger and discontent is cross generational. BUT, the same people who
have/had (myself included) that youth anger and discontent and insecurity
(etc...) also are very capable of caring, loving, and all the other
wonderful things Pete had the courage to write about. "But my dreams they
aren't as empty, as my conscience seems to be".....this said it all for
me......I'm pissed, I may be fucking up in your eyes, but in my head.....I
know what the fuck I'm doing! So piss off!!
It's nothing but real man, nothing but being real.
Even more interesting to me is to hear what "fans" (it's all
relative!) in countries other than in the US have to say. Particularly
those in former "communist block" (is this still PC?) countries.

"Welcome to the camp, I guess you all know why you're here". (very
appropriate opening line to thewho.net Scott!!!)

PLEASE, share your thoughts! I, along with most on this list would
be glad to point you in directions. There is so much for you to explore!
More than likely, the things you're going through, the thoughts and feelings
you are having are the same that Pete went through and felt. The Who held
nothing back. It's all in the music. As an ambassadors of The Who, we
would love to show you where to find it.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Schrade!!! I am amazed! Going Mobile!!??!!
Water!!??!! What about "I've known no War", or "Eminence Front"??? I've
always thought that the solo on Water (IOW) is one of Pete's best!! Water
actually is the favorite song of a co-worker (24yrs) whom I've turned into a
new Who fan. But Going Mobile???
Man, that song has been one of my all time favorites for as long as
I can remember. That song pretty much wraps up the 60's for me ("keep me
movin"). It brings back memories from the early 70's of how I wished I was
old enough to have gone to Woodstock and done all those "groovy" things our
pioneers were doing (not that I didn't end up doing them myself in the late
70's and 80's and 90's and......well........BUT!). "watch the police and the
tax man miss me....when I'm mobile!" (he.he.......wonder if this is where
Michael Jackson got his he.he from? And yes, there are both a "beep
beep", and a "Hee-Hee" in this song---there was a debate on this list
several months ago). Dude, next time you're on a road trip, crank this one
up!!!! Play the tape machine!! Make some toast and tea!!! Just keep
movin' and groovin'!!!!
Dude, haven't you ever felt like "diggin' diggin' diggin'"?
Working 9-5 and watching all the farmers up here in VT, I am alarmed at "how
a-charmin' it is to be a-farmin'"!!!!! I've always liked this song for it's
humor (another unique aspect of The ooooo), as well as Postcard.
I hear what you mean though (just messing with you above). There
are a hand full of songs from The Who that when I hear, I kind of say to
myself....."ok Pete, come back to us Pete.....this is interesting, but let's
get back to it". Interesting how those songs usually are from his
"post-moon-addiction out of control" phase.

	Stay in Tune,
	Kevin in VT
