I'm the same - I thought the guy was happily married..!
so i copied this to the list to see if someone could enlighten us..?

Although in recent interviews he seemed annoyed or jealous at the amount of 
"shagging" roger was doing in the old days while pete was happily married.

he hinted towards something like this in the Who's Next doc too..
