Phat bottomed girls, Whofest (low phat) 1999. Joni's phat bottom, some phat lyrics

>Didn't you say they're phat? ;)

Keets:

Aiiieee! I wouldn't say such a thing even if my life depended on it. Whaddya
trying to do, get me killed?

> It's the survey from the articles I posted. Apparently women are now
>buying more cds than men, and the age bracket buying the most music is
>24-40, wasn't it?

That would be consistant with the sales in my store, although I'd have to
say males slightly outnumber females. I get a lot of construction guys who
tell all their friends, and so on.

>power and volume put gals off. Hard rock isn't as hard as it used to
>be, though, and The Who doesn't sound like it did at Leeds (yeah, I
>know you're heartbroken).

Not particularly. I still have Pearl Jam.

>time with fellow Who fans this summer even if you can't make it
>a full week, you have been served notice.

Derick:

Yes, the "main events" will be on Friday and Saturday, giving those who can
only do the weekend the opportunity to attend. The earlier part of the week
will be much more laid back, although I don't see why we can't meet several
times for drinks or dinner and discussions...or maybe some of us can and
others can "do" MB. BTW, I can suggest many activities for singles,
families, whatever. Plenty to do here.

>up with some fellow Whofans. Naturally, there will be visits to
>the nearby Baba Center

I intend to set this up (when I have an idea how many people will want to
go) on Saturday, the 21st. This should be the most convenient date, except
perhaps to any who might want to get trashed the night before...

>I remember at Day in the Garden show when Mitchell was playing, I could
only get to about 50' from the stage and thought that would be it. Soon as
she was done her set though, I couldn't believe how many people turned and
walked away as if Pete meant nothing to them as I scurried right to the
railing center stage. On that particular day, I didnt see very many Joni
Mitchell/Pete Townshend fans.

David:

Although as we see there is some crossover...I do think they come from two
different "places," generally. I'm not surprised at this report, although I
would have bet Pete was FAR more popular.

>Hope you enjoyed that.

Alan:

Quite good info. Thanks.

>I don't know who does it (possibly J Cougar Melonhead)

I call him "JC Mellonbreath," myself. Close enough.

>I need a lover who won't drive me crazy/[how do you like it so far?]/
>Someone who knows the meaning of, 'Uh [the "uh" is very important, it's in
>every verse], Hey, hit the highway."

Don't forget this genius had an album entitled UH-HUH. "Uh" must be an
important word to him.

The funny thing (to me) is that I heard Pat Benatar do the song first. Yes,
it's a Cougar song. But I don't find it quite as foolish as you seem to,
because it reminds me strongly of this Neil Young lyric:

"Just someone to keep my house clean/Fix my meals and go away/A man needs a
maid..."

Or PT's, for that matter:

"How come the girls come on oh-so cool/And when you meet `em, every one's a
fool..."

No WONDER The Who didn't have many female fans!!! And although I'll probably
get in as much trouble as if I'd said that terrible thing Keets had me
saying, I do feel that from the (heterosexual) male perspective all of them
contain some truth. At some point in a man's life or another.

But in any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it and everyone gets a chuckle or two
from them and I don't step on TOO many toes. Here's my latest...you're going
to see a LOT from this band (and I SWEAR this is a REAL lyric quote, word
for word):

            Cheers ML

"We love the dollar more than the collar/That daddy used to wear/We love to
hollar more than the dollar/Take us to the fair..."
                     Burton Cummings, The Guess Who
