I agree Dave.  Keith provided a balance that kept both Roger and Pete in
check.  
Without Keith, they lost their ability to resist "growing up" and becoming
"responsible citizens".  It seems when Pete is having fun and acting like a
kid with no worries, he doesn't seem to resent Roger that much.  Keith kept
Pete distracted from serious thought about inequities of band member
contributions.

I'll see your can of worms and raise you a "snake the size of a sewer pipe"!
