PETE Came First!

I'm brand new here, so please hear me out while I vent... What is all this comparison B.S. about Whitman and Dickensen? Pete was a music school rough from Shepardsbush. He may have heard of those Yanks (doubtful), but was definitely not influenced by them. Pete came to his talent exactly because he IS a MUSICAL GENIUS! That he had Roger and the boys to back him up was a great coincidence. If it had been Pete and the Hermitts or Townshend and the Rolling Rocks, we'd probably be sitting around in a newsgroup discussing their reign as the best of the best. Musician, lyricist, artist, GENIUS...Don't mix apples and oranges! A little IS enough! Keep this ludicrous comparison of mere rhymers to Pete's work off this panel. The Who Controls the Weather!
