Art,Dickinson,Whitman,whatever

Okay, so the Who don't use "metaphores". Big deal. At the end of the
day, it's what hits you that counts. While Paul Simon's stuff about "I'd

rather be a forest than a street "etc etc sounds very good to listen to,

it's Dylan's "How does it feel to be without a home ...." that gets me.
It doesn't matter how technically great you are. If you can say
something sincerely and honestly which has a point to make, as most of
Pete's stuff generally does, then who cares even if you make a million
gramatical errors ? Art is just what you choose to call art. I have read

a bit of Dickinson, and I have to admit that she's really good, but she
doesn't read into my life, which is why I prefer Pete. He does that all
the time.I think this argument has gotten out of hand, and there really
is no end.
Anyway, I'm a 21 year old Who fan myself, and have been for the last
four years. I get a lot of shit about Floyd and Zeppelin, but
surprisingly, it's rather uncool to even be a Beatles fan out here. The
trouble is that most people think "Beatles ?? Oh, the band that did
'love me do' , right ?". Someday I'm gonna play 'Helter Skelter' for all

of 'em.
