Re: Pete plays at the Sound Republic-Last night

Good Morning Campers:
Well, once again Pete played a surprise show last night at the Sound Republic
club in Wardour Street here in London. It was the clubs grand opening weekend.
The show was a charity event for "Rock the Dock". It's for dockers from
Liverpool. The open bands where The Dockers, Boo Radleys and Noel Gallagher
with the a member of the Ocean Colour Scene. Pete took the stage around 11.50
and played for approx. 52 minutes. His fellow musician where the same line
up as he had in the states in August. Chucho Machan on bass, Jon Carin on
Wurlitzer/keyboards and Peter Hope Evans-the mouth organ. Pete and friends
played:
Anyway, Anyhow
Pinball Wizard
Behind Blue Eyes
Let my Love Open the Door
The Kids are Alright
W.G.F.A.
Magic Bus-which Noel Gallagher from Oasis and the blond bloke from Ocean
Colour Scene on guitar helped out on this tune. Guess what generation we are
from?
Approx. 800 people attended this do. There was a free bar and food. There
where about 10 Who fans there and about 300 Oasis fans. Paul Weller was in
attendance too! But as Pete took the stage there was only about 400 watching.
Noel watched Pete in awe from the side of the stage.
Well, now we have to wait until the 9th of November for the Shepherd Bush
Empire show and the Truro Show on the 10th and maybe some others........
