Moonie movies

At first I thought 'A Keith Moon movie?!? No way, it'd never sell because
he's not famous enough anymore.' He's NOT famous (well, maybe still in
Britain) and really, The Who are barely famous anymore. Enough
time has now passed that they have slipped from the public consciousness.
That was not the case in '89, when they could still sell out stadiums, but
look how small the attendances were comparitively at the Quad shows these
past couple years. Saddest of all, John Entwistle plays to "crowds" as
small as fifty people these days.

But then I realized, people don't NEED to know who Keith Moon is. As long
as they hear "DeNiro," "sex, drugs and rock and roll" and "the Seventies"
people will go see it no matter how much it sucks. Is this country ever
going to get past its fixation with the '70s? If "Boogie Nights," "Studio
54" and "That '70s Show" (or whatever the hell it's called) can make it,
so can Keith Moon. I think Roger is dreaming if he thinks anyone other
than the hundred people on this list would go see his version. It would
be great to see though!
