PT vs. ED & WW

First, I'd like to say that despite the flak McGoo is taking, I
think the discussion it has generated has been great. There
is no reason to curtail these types of discussions. Otherwise
the group would be rather boring.

Mark Leaman wrote (in response to McGoo):

I think Emily Dickenson was probably the best Emily Dickenson-like
poet ever.

And I also agree with the sentiment that McGoo is/was a little too
involved with Dickenson & Whitman, and therefore began to see everything
in relationship to their work. Even without evidence that a direct
influence exists.

Oh, and on another topic: my kids have recently been listening to
"Barefootin'" from the Deep End Live album, quite frequently -- and
when I'm home I'm required to dance with them (though I get to keep
my shoes on). They're not quite old enough yet to be listening to
Quad yet, but they will.

Actually, I don't think you are with Chuck. His problem was that
he signed up for one too many email lists. You are complaining
about an entirely different thread. And I would tend to disagree
with you. This list is a perfect place to analyze the art of the
Who. Your car, listening room, office or a live performance are the
best places to appreciate the art. Or, if you're like me, you can
do both by listening in the office while reading the digest.
